    Mountain Pose

Tadasana, or Mountain Pose, is a standing posture that forms the foundation for most other standing yoga poses. It teaches you to distribute weight evenly through your feet, lengthen your spine and align your body, building the postural awareness used in nearly every other asana.

    How to do Mountain Pose

    1. 1Stand with feet hip-width apart, weight evenly spread across both feet.
    2. 2Engage your thighs and draw your tailbone gently down.
    3. 3Lengthen your spine, roll your shoulders back and down, and let your arms rest by your sides.
    4. 4Lift your chest, relax your face, and breathe steadily for 5-10 breaths.
